Lourdes Fuentes concentrates her practice in immigration law, particularly in asylum, deportation, family, business and naturalization/citizenship. As an immigrant from Cuba and having worked as an immigration attorney for over a decade, Lourdes understands the many challenges that immigrants and their families face and can provide a unique perspective on complex immigration issues. Being fluent in Spanish, she also brings a special level of empathy and connection to Spanish-speaking clients.
Lourdes has a combination of complex litigation practice with extensive immigration experience, which allows for careful legal analysis and creative solutions. Prior to opening her own firm, Lourdes was a partner at MacDonald Hoague & Bayless, where she handled a high volume of immigration matters for a local high tech Fortune 500 corporation, as well as for smaller and start-up companies. She also represented clients in affirmative and defensive asylum cases, family-based matters, removal/deportation and employer sanctions. Lourdes also directed the University of Washington Immigration Law Clinic where, under her close supervision and leadership, students handled complex asylum cases.
In opening her own practice, Lourdes’ goal is to provide exceptional client-oriented service at a fair price for all of her clients and their families on immigration matters.
